Bikes Up
Guns Down
An initiative created by Born Leader Family in southwest and west Philadelphia communities to combat gun violence. We recruited 150 bike riders and went from section to section of the neighborhoods spreading awareness of the increase in gun violence and the dangers of illegal guns in the community.
We included participants who had gun charges and have dealt with tragedy from gun violence in their community. This was a bi-monthly event that successfully ran for 36 months as designated at its conception.
